A Fresh Point Of View

THE  SUNDAY  SLANT ……………………………….. November 4, 2018

A  FRESH  POINT  OF  VIEW

I know not the source of this gem.  I have shared it with thousands. It has blessed my life in so many ways.  I hope it clarifies things a bit for you, too.  Here it is:

"Christianity is not just a way of looking at certain things, but it is a certain way of looking at all things."

It is not my intent to judge others, but it seems to me that with some folks, simply having a few matters crystallized into a human creed or belief system, is about all that is important. Thus, looking at certain things in a certain way pretty well sums up their scope of understanding. This, to me, is so limited.

To define Christianity as seeing a few things in a different light is too selective. Viewing all of life from a Christian perspective offers us a greater understanding and comprehension.  (II Cor. 5:17)

Another meaningful observation:  "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."  - Unknown author

If we as Christians can look at all of life in a manner different from the way the world sees it, we have taken a giant step forward!                    - Tom Butterfield
