GOING TO WORSHIP IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT

Coming out of church, Mrs. Smith asked her husband, "Do you think that Johnson girl is tinting her hair?"

"I didn't even see her," admitted Mr. Smith.

"And that dress Mrs. Davis was wearing," continued Mrs. Smith, "Really, don't tell me you think that's the proper outfit for a mother of two."

"I'm afraid I didn't notice that either," said Mr. Smith.

"Did you see that ugly tie the preacher had on this morning?" asked Mrs. Smith

"No, as a matter of fact I didn't," Mr. Smith replied.

"Well, my oh my," snapped Mrs. Smith. "A lot of good it does you to go to church."

This demands of us some serious thought - right? Just why do we attend services and how do we conduct ourselves while there? Do we notice all the wrong things taking place, but miss the very reason why we are to be there? (John 4:24). How areYOU doing? - Tom Butterfield
