Osprey
I captured this image of an osprey as she returned to her nest. Her newly hatched young ones welcomed her appearing with cries of joy and then rested content under the shelter of her wings.
I am often amazed at the beauty and intricacy of the wings of various birds. The wings of ospreys are especially impressive due to their size and design. What comfort they must give to their babies!
Scripture often refers to God's care for his children in terms of taking refuge under his wings. We do not have to face the storms of life alone.
When life seems its darkest, shelter is always available. Only a fool would refuse it. - John
